Have you ever heard of CrystalPoint® Technology?
Océ produces the world's fastest and most productive digital printer systems. For instance, based on Océ CrystalPoint® technology, our wide format systems combine bright colors, speed and scalability to take applications of the customer to new heights. At our own R&D locations, with 1500 employees worldwide, all these products are invented and engineered. Our main Mechanical Development departments are located in Venlo. These departments are responsible for the mechanical and mechatronic designs within our print systems. For one of these departments we are looking for a designer, who has the ambition to bring in innovative print system solutions and is looking for a job where market and customers always directly influence the technical concepts to be developed.

What is your job about?
As a Mechanical Designer you form a part of a multidisciplinary project. This project is divided into modules, which are teams of approximately 5 people. For example a printhead positioning module. In a module you are responsible for the mechanical and/or mechatronic aspects of the design.
First, in discussion with the architects, you define and translate the demands of the market into requirements for the design. Physics is at the heart of the printing process. In order to make your concept work and operate successfully, you really have to cooperate with colleagues from different technical disciplines. Then you come up with a feasible design with smart creative solutions, where you properly balance between the product requirements like speed, quality, accuracy and costs.
Before you move on, you have to review your design with all stakeholders. This means that you have build convincing prototypes to proof the feasibility of the routes that you have identified and select the most promising ones.

Are you…
• Master or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, specific in Mechatronics
• Having 0-5 years relevant work experience
• Result-driven and having a drive to develop yourself to the max
• Analytical and a conceptual thinker
• Looking for new opportunities and having a lot of creative ideas
