An AI-powered robot was able to dissect a gall bladder from a pig corpse in what the researchers behind the experiment claim is the first realistic surgery without human intervention. In all, the surgery, which was conducted on a dead pig corpse, required 17 separate tasks, each of which the robotic system achieved with 100 per cent success.
