While the media buzz proclaiming the imminent death of the internal combustion engine might be premature at this point, there is an end in sight. While the end of gas-powered cars won’t happen in the near term, many studies indicate that fossil fuels, which have their origins somewhere between 541 and 66 million years ago, will be completed depleted in the next 55 years.
