As part of the upgrade of the ALICE detector at CERN, IBS Precision Engineering is realizing a series of machines for automated assembly of sensor modules. The first machine, named ALICIA, has been delivered to CERN and has successfully passed the site acceptance test. ALICIA stands for ALICE Integrated Circuit Inspection and Assembly Machine.
