NANOMEFOS was developed in the Netherlands ten years ago and today it still represents the state of the art in measuring the absolute form of aspherical and freeform optical surfaces. For years its cost price prohibited commercialisation, but recent interest from China has paved the way for Nanomefos 2.0. The updated measurement machine will be constructed and marketed by a new joint venture, DUI (Dutch United Instruments).
