Een fabrikant van microfluïdesystemen zocht een flow-oplossing om microfluïden efficiënter te meten. In eerste instantie maakte de fabrikant gebruik van thermische massflowmeters. De thermische massflowmetingen bleken echter niet stabiel genoeg voor deze toepassing en een hogere reproduceerbaarheid was gewenst.
