Dutch High Tech Systems (DutchHTS) is het online crossmediale technologie platform dat zich richt op kennisdeling en informatie over de Nederlandse High Tech industrie. Het platform bestaat uit de website DutchHTS.nl, de High Tech Systems groep op LinkedIN, dutchhts op Twitter, Facebook en Instagram. Verder wordt op wekelijkse basis het DutchHTS nieuwsoverzicht en het High Tech vacature overzicht uitgegeven. Deze ontvangt u per mail na inschrijven via deze link.

Met deze financiële steun werkt Axelera AI aan de ontwikkeling van een nieuwe computerchip, genaamd Titania. De chip moet niet alleen de hoge rekenkracht leveren die nodig is voor toepassingen in kunstmatige intelligentie, maar ook energiezuinig en schaalbaar zijn. Chipfabrikant TSMC gaat 100 miljard dollar investeren in de Verenigde Staten, onder meer voor de bouw van vijf nieuwe fabrieken in Arizona. Volgens macro-econoom Philip Marey van Rabobank wil Washington minder afhankelijk worden van Taiwan. Veel bedrijven vinden dat ze ‘iets’ met AI moeten. Maar wat dan? En vooral ook: hoe? Hoewel de technologie talrijke mogelijkheden biedt, is het in de praktijk niet eenvoudig om het maximale eruit te halen. Op dit moment blijven nog veel organisaties daarom steken bij wat experimenten en komen de hoge verwachtingen zelden uit. Dat komt doordat AI-modellen een enorme bak aan relevante data nodig hebben, wat lang niet overal evident is. Our portfolio company Axelera AI secured a €61.6 million grant to develop Titania, a scalable AI inference chiplet for HPC and edge computing. The funding is supported by the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) and member states as part of the DARE Project.This new funding follows the successful close of an oversubscribed $68 million Series B financing round, bringing the total amount raised by Axelera AI to more than $200 million in just three years.
