In this video, Adam explains what the ‘chimney effect’ is and how it can influence the measurement value of a flow meter. This phenomenon is related to the heating of the medium in an instrument. In vertical installation of thermal mass flow meters and controllers, this must be taken into account under certain conditions to avoid measurement errors.
