A simulation-based approach to design and automated high-mix low-volume manufacturing system
We participated in a fruitful collaboration with the University of Technology Eindhoven. We investigated, among other things, the added-value of different automation concepts in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment. This resulted in a paper that was recently accepted and published, titled: “A simulation-based approach to design and automated high-mix low-volume manufacturing system.” Read more
This is why modular sourcing with your coil manufacturer makes sense
When purchasing electronic components, you can purchase individual parts from separate suppliers. Another variant is so-called Modular Sourcing, in which you hand over the assembly of complete modules to a customer-specific coil manufacturer. This reduces the complexity in your supply chain. Superhuman precision in microsurgery: TMC and Microsure are making it possible
Some operations require hand movements that are so microscopic that very few doctors are able to perform them. Microsure is currently working on developing MUSA: the world’s first surgical robot for open microsurgery. Using two joysticks, the robot converts the surgeon’s hand movements into microscopic movements, making it possible to work with extreme precision. This will make it possible to help more…

No rules for DevOps
From both sides of the world, we see many rules. Rules can provide demarcation, structure, and safety, but conversely, they can be limiting and restrictive. Rules can therefore be seen as positive as well as negative. We have heard first-hand and read in various places that combining rules with DevOps is not a good thing. “There…
