Exploring the Future with 3D Glass Printing

We are now able to integrate optical, mechanical, fluidic functionalities at a micron level with 3D Selective Laser-Induced Etching (SLE). SLE is a two-step process that allows us to modify the structure inside glass via a pulsed laser beam and selectively…

UHV en Hogedruk Componenten

Hogedruk en vacuümcomponenten vindt men vaak in allerlei processen.

What can you expect from working with us?

We often receive questions about the steps that are taken from the beginning of a project up to series production. This blog will tell you a bit more about what you can expect from working with us. What exactly happens once we have…

New replica technology for micro-ceramic components

By using Selective Laser-induced Etching, it is possible to create microstructures in glass, avoiding the need for litho master molds. Thanks to the proven durability of the glass material, it can be used many times, making the need for a double replication step…

Glass and Ceramic Materials in Ultra High and Ultra Clean Vacuum

Glass and ceramics have functional advantages and disadvantages compared to metals due to their functional properties. Both materials are used in Ultra High Vacuum (UHV) and Ultra Clean Vacuum (UCV). Glass benefits from its low coefficient of thermal expansion…

We created a glass lung

Together with LightFab GmbH and in co-operation with RWTH Aachen University, LouwersHanique created a human lung that enables the development of new aerosol therapeutic techniques. A unique combination of fabrication techniques was used to remove quartz inside the model, including 5 axis CNC milling, polishing, and SLE (Selective Laser-induced Etching).
