On February 18th 2021, the American robotic car Perseverance landed without a hitch on the surface of the planet Mars. After a journey of seven months, the Perseverance landed in the Jezero crater on Mars, which scientists suspect was once a lake. The one-tonne-plus Mars rover was equipped with no fewer than 23 cameras and numerous instruments to search for traces of life on Mars.
