On 13 August, the MetOp-SG-A1 satellite was successfully launched from the European Spaceport in Kourou (French Guiana) using the relatively new Ariane-6 rocket. It was an exciting moment, but the mission was a success!The coming months will be phased in by commissioning and testing: first of the satellite itself, then the instruments such as Sentinel-5, and finally the data processing software. Several colleagues from ICT TriOpSys, part of ICT Group, have been working on this software over the past few years. They will also remain closely involved in the commissioning process. Read more
