The JAI Wave Area Scan camera addresses this requirement differently. Its InGaAs sensor captures visible and short-wave infrared data in the same frame, spanning 400 to 1700 nm, at 1.3 megapixels and up to 90 frames per second. Consequently, system architecture and image processing stay simpler than a two-camera setup would require because both spectral ranges come from a single GigE Vision camera.
